Nafplion and the surrounding areas

The Melissinos Law Office has always been operating in Nafplio (Nafplion) and we have always felt as being part of this beautiful city. We are both proud and happy to work here and to share our lives with the citizens of Nafplio as well as its visitors.

Nafplio is the capital of Argolida (Argolis) and is situated in the north-eastern part of Peloponnese. It was Greece’s first capital and had also served as the capital of Peloponnese for more than two hundred years under either the Venetian or the Ottoman rule. It is known as a very beautiful picturesque town that links neo-greek, venetian and ottoman aspects. It is also close to important archeological sites of global interest and enjoys the mild Mediterranean climate. In comparison to other Greek cities, Nafplio is generally perceived as a city that offers its citizens a high quality of life.

The prefecture of Argolida is administratively divided into four municipalities, the municipality of Nafplio being one of the four and the other two being the municipality of Argos-Mycenae, the municipality of Ermionida and the municipality of Epidaurus.
