Our Office covers almost all areas of law.
Indicatively we work on cases in the following areas of law:

  • Real Estate

In cooperation with tax and real estate experts we provide full guidance to prospective buyers/sellers of real estate and we ensure that their interests are well analyzed and protected. To this end we carry out full title investigations, obtain market valuations and work on minimizing all risks related to a real estate transfer. Moreover, we negotiate the terms of the contract and carry out all tasks necessary for the completion of an agreement (record the property in the National Cadastre or Land Registry books, issue certificates and tax clearances etc).
Our office also provides real estate management and to this end we represent our clients in all cases concerning their property. Clients living abroad may grant us a power of attorney to take care of day to day business.
Finally, our office specializes in all fields of law related to Real Estate such as Construction Law, Forest Law, City Planning Law, National Cadastre – Land Registry cases etc.

  • Corporate Law

Our Office provides legal advice and services on corporate issues and covers all legal needs that Argolida-based firms or local affiliates may have. We have a long experience in the start-up of businesses and to this end we carry out founding procedures and assist companies in obtaining funding. We also take care of corporate works and participate in General Meetings of Shareholders or Board of Directors Meetings in order to advise management and shareholders on legal issues.
We consider ourselves part of the firms we represent and are proud to be involved in their development. For this reason – if we are asked to – we are actively involved in the company’s management. Our goal is to help firms operate in a safe legal environment that will allow them to fulfill their business vision.

  • Financial Law - Banking Law

Financing can be helpful to households and firms but can also be detrimental, given that mistakes made when signing a loan contract may have long lasting effects to a borrower’s economic stance. It is for this reason that expert opinion is necessary and must be sought before any loan contract is signed. Our Office provides its clients with advice on the risks they undertake and the legal commitments they make when assuming a loan. Upon request, we take part in the negotiations carried out with the bank and we provide advice on the best financing option a borrower has, based on his specific needs and financial status.
Our Office also works in cooperation with economists and accountants in assisting companies to acquire EU grants and take advantage of other funding opportunities (e.g. funds allocated via the Greek Investment Law).
Apart from the above, we work on “over-indebted households” cases; in cooperation with specialized notaries we carry out bond issuance procedures; we provide advice on banking supervision issues and finally we assist and advise depositors and bondholders on all issues regarding their interests.

  • Contract Law and Private Agreements

In cooperation with trusted notaries we draft all kind of contracts and we tailor the terms based on the parties’ interests, goals and wishes. Moreover, we advise and represent our clients on cases of rescission and breaches of contractual terms.
We also negotiate and draft private agreements that aim to help our clients form steady and clear business relationships that will minimize risks and ensure that they operate in a safe legal environment.

  • Tax law

With the help of trustworthy accountants we provide legal advice on tax issues and aim to help our clients – and especially firms – avoid unnecessary tax exposure. It must be noted that the Greek tax legislation is very complex and despite any good intentions, it unfortunately sometimes leads to unjust results. In more detail, the legislature has failed to rectify the wide extent of tax evasion the country suffers from and has tried to solve the problem by passing all the more new laws that often lead to further deterioration of the problem. It is for the previous reasons that firms should seek expert advice and our Office aims to fully cover our clients’ needs and protect their interests. However, due to the complexity of many tax cases we often cooperate with specialized Athenian law firms that have a long experience on tax law cases.

  • Labor and Social Security Law

Until recently, Greece held a legislation that strongly protected the employee. After the recent reforms this has changed but protective measures still exist. However, due to the country’s high unemployment problem, some employers still force employees to work under unjust working conditions threatening them that otherwise they will lose their job. Sometimes this outcome is “inevitable” as firms face huge economic problems and employees themselves recognize the impasse. At the same time, harsh measures have been implemented that aim to reduce the number of undocumented workers.
With respect to social security, under the present circumstances, pension rights are being in some cases reexamined. Moreover, the Greek State has become very reluctant and is very careful when granting new pensions.
Our Office provides employers and employees with legal advice on labor law and social security issues and works closely with our clients’ accountants so that the legal aspects of a working relationship are clarified and future litigation is avoided.

  • Family Law

Our Office has a long experience in family law cases and we handle divorce and children custody cases. Our aim is to resolve all family disputes in the less stressful manner taking into consideration the delicate nature of family differences. To this end we are involved in negotiations that aim to finalize marriages in a mutually accepted manner so that a no-fault divorce is issued. We have worked on cross-country family law cases with clients, having been residents of Germany, Great Britain, France, Belgium, United States, Australia etc

  • Inheritance Law

Our Office provides legal advice on inheritance law issues. A person wishing to prepare a will should seek the advice of a notary or a lawyer and make sure that the property he/she wishes to devise to his/her heirs are correctly documented so that no confusion is created in the future. In the unfortunate event of a death many legal issues arise regarding the inheritance of the deceased. Our clients may grant us a power of attorney that will allow us to carry out all necessary tasks so that the rightful heirs inherit the property they are entitled to. In more detail, we file the necessary inheritance tax statements, finalize all land registry procedures and take care of court issues.

  • Criminal Law

Nafplio is the home of the Nafplio Court of Appeals and many important criminal cases are ruled here. Through its long history our Office has been involved in many major criminal cases covering the full range of criminal law.

  • Car Accidents

In the unfortunate event of a car accident, even the most petty one, legal complications arise that have to be dealt with. Although one should not get alarmed as legal issues are in these cases of secondary importance, a professional’s advise is necessary and it is preferable if he/she is contacted as soon as possible. Our office provides guidance to people dealing with such an event so that the right course of action will be followed and unnecessary legal complications will be avoided.

  • Official Translation of Documents

We translate English, German and French documents into Greek and vice versa.

  • Wealth and Property Management

In cooperation with trustworthy accountants, real estate and financial experts we provide wealth and property management services.

*In cases that require additional expertise we either work in cooperation with specialized law firms or recommend a specialized firm or lawyer that we trust.
